Yeah, I think there will be. Why not? Now that Pokemon is made with psuedo-3D graphics, and R/S/E was made completely in 2D, I think they could remake it.

I'm sure they will remake the Gen III games. I think they remake the games so that newer generations of players get a chance to experience old games in new graphics.

They'll probably also redo the Gen I games sometime. I think they would probably release remakes of Blue and Yellow, then wait a few months/years before releasing remakes of Ruby and Sapphire.

I'm more interested in how they'll spice up the names of Ruby and Sapphire. FireRed and LeafGreen made sense, but HeartGold and SoulSilver were kind of a long shot. Ruby and Sapphire may be tricky.

well, there's a successful formula for the pokemon games. make new generation, make third version with better story, then make remakes of games from 2 generations back. i am almost certain that there will be remakes of ruby and sapphire in... 2013 or 14.
