UPDATE:  The error message is timed, and appears after the game has attempted to load for a certain period of time.  If you cancel the message, the game will continue to load.  This is especially useful on games with a large file size, that may have the message activated simply because they continue to load past the allotted time before the error message occurs.  So, when loading large games such as N64 or certain GBA, if you experience the error message, just click cancel and wait for another few minutes.



On the weekends we've been getting lots of reports by people who can't play games they haven't played before. Fear not, this problem only affects some and it goes away sometime during the week. If you experience this error, please reply in this thread with what operating system you use, and if you're comfortable with it, your Internet service provider, for example Shaw, Telus, etc.

Davideo7 : This thread will be to try and get all the people who have this problem in one place so we can find the common thread. Check in every Sunday I guess and we'll see who all has this. Should I try to list all the previous people who have reported it that I've already reported to you, or is there no point?

Wouldn't hurt to make a list in this thread of people who have reported this problem, when the problem occurred and other information.

popeondope13 : Is the first person to have reported an error like this, on 2-02-11 which was a wednesday, and reported that it started working again on 2-04-11 which was a friday. I'm unsure if it was the exact error we're looking for and if the user reported it on the first day he experienced it, but it matches the description of new games not working but previously played ones working fine.

Vastair : reported on 2-27-11 which was a sunday.

maharaga : is as far back as I can see in the RGR staff inbox, reported on 3-05-11 which was a saturday. The two other users who reported to the RGR inbox reported that the games started working again during the week, and one of those users included vastair who made a thread about it as well, which is why I was able to find him.

jr_89 : reported on 3-06-11 which was a sunday.

kcwoods : reported on 3-11-11 which was a friday.

randomwannab : reported on the same day as kcwoods.


Davideo7 : Those are all the people who have made threads about it, with mahraga, vastair, and one other user I can't remember the name of who reported to the RGR inbox. These are just those who have reported it though, there must be some members and guests who don't report this and just stop playing on the site for a while.

This happens to me every once in a while. What's really weird is that sometimes the games work, other times they don't.

This has been happening to me for a couple of weeks now.

the_casualty : In the first post, I noted that the problem only happens on weekends and with games you haven't played before. Some games would still work, most likely the ones you've played before, and when the weekend is over all the games should start working again. It started in february, most noticeably in mid february, and has continued until now.

BTowns : Yeah, I read that. What I meant is that on the weekends, some games that I've never played before work, where as others don't. Sometimes, if I just refresh the window a few times, it works like a charm.

I actually experienced this last weekend (5th and 6th) while testing the C64 games--I found a way around it, but it stopped occurring either Tuesday or Wednesday. What I had to do, like the_casualty said, was refresh the game window a few times with F5, or if that didn't work, any and all times that at I would close my browser but leave the game open, and then afterward close the game window and reopen the browser--it'd bring the game window back up automatically with the browser and start up normally.

User Antoniabza reported having the problem, starting 04-03-11 and tried reloading ten times, unsuccessfully. Previously owned games didn't work for him either. He's using a Windows 7 Gateway NV53.

i have been having this happen to me since the 1st
sometimes it crashes my internet but most of the games work fine until i encounter the error again

Yeah, this has been happening with "Tron 2.0: Killer App" for GBA which I was able to play before I joined up on the site. I use Vista, I'm comfortable with it, my browser is Google Chrome. Thank you

I gave a suggestion to this problem IF it is happening to ONLY ONE GAME. Although it won't hurt to try and wipe out the whole RGR folder.

This is actually a "fixable" error.

You just have to close all RGR plugins running on Firefox, go to the RGR folder, and (sadly, however, the savefile is most likely in the server) delete or move the savefiles and roms accessorized with the game experiencing errors.

I heard this does not work for users experiencing problems with all the games they never played in the RGR before.

You could try uninstalling the RgR plugin along with the browser (Firefox, Chrone) and deleting the RgR folder and registers. I suggest to wait rather then do that (this problem sometimes fixes itself).

well its with every game i try to play atm i use windows vista and the firefox browser, i also get Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 10 seconds exceeded in C:inetpubvhostsvizzed.comhttpdocsvizzedboardlibfunction.php on line 1671 every now and then but with different numbers at the end

nvm guys i fixed it, i uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and now it works like a charm again

It is not a weekend and S factor Silver and Sonia does not work so what do I do?

I have Windows Vista Home premium and the newest version of Firefox, thing is it happens to me all the time, not just on weekends. I've never had a problem with it until about a week ago.

Every SNES game, and apparently a few Sega genesis games as well.

Every single game that requires the RGR Plug in will not work for me at all! I will always end up with the download error, or sometimes the problem with how it cannot open the file/unsupported file type.....Any solutions? I am using Windows XP and the most up-to-date Firefox.....
