Lol, well this is awesome.

In the past 24 hours or so I've received the most hate ever. Yeah, so I discovered a way to hack the chat, and got it shut down. Yeah, now you'll need to get a life for a month or so. And that's really a reason to get your panties in a bunch, eh?

I'm tired of the bull. I'm not a retarded hacker or whatever; in fact, I actually freaking HELPED Vizzed. The chat room is so easily hackable, some Channer could get on one night as David and ban everyone from the chat, including David himself. You could also get your reputation ruined; somebody could log on as you and act like a total ass and ruin everyone's respect for you. But, nah, that doesn't matter, does it?

I'm just letting you guys know that all the hate PMs/IMs/posts up until now I'm gonna let slide. However, from now on I'll report any of the crap you send me.

If you think about it, if you're complaining about how I discovered something important and how I brought it to light, you should be banned anyways.

Eh, try not to let it bother you. I've gotten hate mail for the things I've done, things which I may add were way more serious (personally at least).

When people start to hate, just think of who the people are that you want to be happy. Your friends. As a friend, I will stand by you. You done good.

It's better that it ends this way. I'd rather have someone report the problem than have it cause problems.

Anyone who harassed you for reporting a method of hacking into Vizzed deserves to be banned.

I don't know very many people and I never used chat but I have to say a few things:

1. You knew what was going to happen when you acted. You saw the opportunity to do something and you did. There's no way you couldn't expect people to be upset, angry, or unhappy. Why you hacked everything in this community makes no sense to me.

2. You said, "I helped, not hurt." If you wanted to help, you should have said, "Watch how easy this is. You need to have better everything because I can get in and mess around." You didn't. You were malicious. People don't like that.

3. If you DID say something like #2 and no one did anything about it, I take back everything I said. If you didn't, how could you expect no anger?

He did help us in a big way, and it hurt as well but I'd rather (and most others I believe) would rather have this problem solved so people could not exploit it for malicious intentions and possibly ruin friendships.

Yeah, I don't really understand why people are angry at you, considering all you did was point out a security flaw in order to help the site. It's a shame that the old chat had a security flaw but that doesn't make it YOUR fault. We are really lucky that you figured it out first, rather than someone with malicious intent.

warmaker : Originally, I hacked the chat room because I was trying to circumvent a ban. Once I discovered it was possible, I told some of the mods so that they knew what was happening. Then, I created a thread letting David and everyone know that the chat rooms are easily hackable and they needed to be shut down/fixed. So yeah, I let everyone know it needed to be improved. I have no evil intent as I don't intend to ruin friendships/get banned.

Well, then, I stand corrected if it wasn't malicious.

Like I said, I don't know anyone and really don't understand breaking into chat rooms.
