I like normal better than cold, it seems a little weird to drink cold water, and it doesn't taste too good.

Normal seems to quench my thirst and I am not limited to how much I can gulp down if I am really thirsty.

And there was once a soccer player who was very thirsty on a very hot day during a game and then after playing a lot he started guzzling ice cold water and he had what I believe was a heart attack from the cold water and died. So it's probably not good to drink cold water too fast if it's your body is too hot. It seems to be the same premise as eating after having little to no food for a long time. both risk potential death if you eat or drink too much too fast.

I don't usually think about room temperature water when I think of something nice and refreshing. So I guess that means I prefer cold water to warm water.

If my mouth/throat is dry and I am thirsty, I don't want something warm. I want something that will quench my thirst, get rid of that dryness, and cool my throat. In my opinion, there are few things better than the feeling of an icy glass of water when you have been out in the blazing heat for a few hours.
