During a hot day, I'd rather have warm water. Drinking cold water when you're feeling hot is just about the worst thing that you could do (besides drinking really hot water). Your body temperature shouldn't change so quickly. Warm water will allow your body to slowly cool to your regular temperature. I prefer warm water for just about everything.
