The show itself got really confusing as soon as it started. The polar bear and the black smoke monster both appeared in the first season and took a while to explain. They also put in a ton of symbolism and subtle hints. Once they had Sawyer reading a particular Stephen King book that was a reference to what would happen in a later episode. I don't remember exactly what it was.

So, what is your impression of the show? Did you like it or not? Understand it or not? If you understood it, do explain because I'm still confused by the ending.

This is a bit late considering the finale was around 8 or 9 months ago, but maybe some people still remember the show.

BNuge : i remember it....the ending was very sad. Though it was confusing as a series...especially if you couldn't watch most of the episodes. I did cry though when Sun and Jin (that's right, right?) died....and Charlie.....sosad

I have never watched LOST, wait actually I have like the first episode, and two later ones. It seemed like it had some sci-fi in it. It definitly had me wondering about certain things..confusing.

In order to understand what's going on, you really have to watch every single episode. If you miss even one, it gets REALLY confusing. The first few seasons were full of foreshadowing and clues for you to try to solve, and I thought that was interesting. Overall, I thought the show was fairly good, although I never saw the last two seasons. I missed too much of season 4 and gave up, because I got lost. Pun intended.

The show was fantastic and had an amazing first two seasons after that it became ludicrous and the only people who watched it were die hard fans. Just like Heros had one of the best first seasons of any show to take place it completely died off, and eventually stopped early. Maybe it is because there was a lot of conflict of interest and the writer strikes going on and all that crap, however it could of been done a little better. You thought the first seasons was confusing lol, that was the easiest one of them all. Actually the first wasn't very confusing at all, it had a couple WTH moments but other than that it was still straight forward, after that the whole show went into WTH mode.

WARNING: SPOILER ALERT!

LOST was definitely a hard show to follow, but lucky for you I have all the seasons on DVD! As far as what the island is, I'm pretty sure the last episode concluded that it was pergatory of some sort. I'll have to re-watch it, but basically everyone died in the plane crash in the pilot episode. Now, the freighter bit is still confusing, but it explodes so I'm pretty sure they're all dead too. There's a lot of plot holes that I can't remember right now, so I'll just have to re-watch it and get back to you.

Long story short, everyone is dead. At the very end, they all (every single character), ends up in a big church waiting to go to heaven. I loved the show because it kept me on edge. It was so confusing that I had to watch the next episode just to see what was going to happen. If you want to know more just drop me a line

SexyGamer1989 :

I actually missed most of the fourth season because I had given up on the show, but I saw some of the episodes as repeats. Those repeats came with the subtitle bar that actually explained what was going on. Do the DVDs have those? I wouldn't bother getting them if they don't.

I thought it was an okay series. The last season with the parallel dimension was when they would die they could all meet each other after death. Though it was still confusing.

BNuge : I believe so. I haven't watched them since I got them all as gifts and I still don't have the last season because it's so expensive but I think there is an option to watch with commentary.

I know they did that at the end that is why the third seasons is the last I watched because I knew how it was going to end and that they were all actually dead. It was the only thing that made sense from the beginning unless the other conclusion which it was a weird sci-fi show, however the writers had originally planned the strangeness of it to be like that, but the entire they are all dead thing wasn't though up till the end of seasons 3.

The dimensions of the show was interesting and fast paced which is why a lot of people liked it, however what was expected and what happened in the last season really killed its popularity. If you look at reports of popularity during season 1 compared to 6 there was a 47% decrease. The plot had already been leaked before season 5 even ended so I am sure that caused a huge drop or huge part of the 47%. Kind of like heros the writers just killed it, although heros was able to blame it on the writer strike Lost couldn't
