What is the best Samuri theme anime you've ever seen? I liked Samuri 7 and Rurouni Kenshin but can't think of many others.

I really like Rurouni Kenshin. I also like bleach if it counts as a samuri anime.

My favorite Samurai anime is Rurouni Kenshin.

If Bleach counts, then definitely Bleach. It is mostly sword fighting while wearing kimonos, so it should count.

If not, I think Samurai Jack is the only other samurai anime that I know of. If you don't know, a samurai (named Jack) with a magic sword tried to kill a shapeshifter. Before Jack was able to kill him, the shapeshifter "tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future where my evil is law." 'Him' is Jack.

The best Samuri Anime I'ver ever seen is Samuri Jack No doubt about it. I love that show. It always get me in the mood to play with fake swords that look like sticks.

For me Rurouni Kenshin is the best Saumrai anime, but I really enjoyed Samurai Champloo. Most people say it's dumb, but it's just random sometimes. If you watch it all the way through it makes sense.

If we're going to include manga, I don't care if we are...I'm going too, I would have to say Blade of the Immortal. Although it has been made into an anime I haven't seen it nor do I care too the manga version would be far superior to it in every way. The artwork is amazing and the story is really engaging.

Definitely have to say Bleach... it's like the best one.

kenshin all the way! He is actually the reason I started practicing swordsmanship....and now I'm pretty good kendo wise, though fencing is too...formal.

I like samurai jack, that show go hard, I don't care what nobody says, that show is the best samurai show in samuri history.

The best Samurai Anime is Samurai X and Samurai Jack,its a cool anime and cartoon...

Samurai X Trust and Betrayal.
It is the story of Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin) in his early days, as a killer for hire.

Samurai Champloo would be my runner up.

I always liked Samurai Champloo, but I thought  Rurouni Kenshin was better I guess i got more into the storyline. Anyways, I don't know if it's an anime or a cartoon, but I used to love watching Samurai Jack that came on cartoon network. So I vote Rurouni Kenshin if Samurai Jacks just a cartoon.

Sorry to Bleach fans out there but you NEED to watch Kenshin to understand what an awesome series it is!  Even though Kenshin does have a power he doesn't really need it.  He is confident enough and skilled enough to not need to use his power most of the time.  Plus Kenshi is smexy~~~!  Me = Kenshin fangirl.

My top samurai anime are probably Samurai Champloo, Rurouni Kenshin, and Afro Samurai; in that order. Samurai Champloo is my favorite for the fight scenes, it has some of the best fights of any anime, imo. The animation style is very appealing as well. Rurouni Kenshin is a really good blend of shounen and romance/comedy tropes, and the fights are reasonably good. Afro Samurai has pretty good fights, and no significant story at all. I mention it because Samuel L. Jackson voice acted in it, to great effect. I like Bleach, but how is that even close to a samurai show? o.O Is it just because they use swords?

Keep in mind that I don't necessarily view fight scenes like others do. The best fights for me are the ones like in Samurai Champloo or Cowboy Bebop, that are quick-paced and impressive, yet mostly realistic. The fighting in Rurouni Kenshin was more like a typical shounen show with respect to fight scenes. Involved powerlevels, long drawn out fights, and tricks galore. I like that too, but it's very different.

I haven't watched that many Samurai anime, to be honest. The only one I've seen was Samurai Champloo, but I think it's great. I haven't gotten too far, but if I get Netflix again I'm going to watch the rest of it.
