There have been a lot of songs that were rereleased lately. Try to think of a few songs and decide whether you like the new version or the original.

I've Had the Time of My Life was somewhat redone by Black Eyed Peas. I like both versions.

The two artists I think of who do it the most are Dropkick Murphys and Glee, so I'll use some of their songs. Almost all Dropkick Murphys songs are punk versions of the classic Irish music like Wolfe Tones. Captain Kelly's Kitchen is a remake of an old Irish song. I don't remember who the original artist was, but I actually listened to the original version of Captain Kelly's Kitchen yesterday. The name was slightly different, but the lyrics were the same. I still like the new one better because it has a faster pace.

I also enjoy the Glee remake of One Love. The original was from Bob Marley, but Glee did a good job with it. Again, I like the new version better than the old.

Um, I feel that it completely decides on the song. "The Time" is a great example. It was a great song, and it was made a better song in "Dirty Bit". And that's okay, just as long as nobody makes the Beatles sound bad. That way I'll still have respect for all remixes.

I've seen very few bands and singers who can pull off remakes. A few who can are Celtic Woman, Nightwish, H.I.M., and Celine Dion. Usually I like the original song better.

You mentioned 'Time of Your Life' being re-done by the Black-Eyed Peas. Oh God I hated that remix so much. I wanted to punch Fergie in her pretty little mouth. They did a terrible job with that remix and ruined an awesome song.

I tend to like the originals better. I usually stay away from remixes, but a well done cover can be nice depending on the song, the sentimental value of that song, etc.

I like originals, they're almost always better. What really set me away from remixs is when I heard the "you spin me round" remix.
