First one was one of the most faithful adaptations of the book. The fifth one had spot-on casting but like the others it was a weak adaptation. I hate, HATE the third, forth, and sixth one. I am ambivalent on the second and part one of the seventh. I mean, I like Deathly Hollows being split... but it was a lot of nothing happening for most of the film so it seemed to drag, and I dislike that they STILL felt the need to change the plot. I mean, the wedding part I understand because they had screwed up earlier by not introducing Bill, but I think they did it poorly. I have much higher hopes for the next film.

I would have to say Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Professor Snape is the prince and It really sucked to see Dumbledor (If I spelled that right) died for Harry Potter. I liked him. He was cool. It seems all my favorite movie characters dies on me. Lol.

For me, it's a tie between Deathly Hallows part 1, 2, and the Sorcerer's Stone. They're not perfect adaptations, but they seem to follow the books the closest. For being so young, Daniel, Rupert and Emma were pretty good actors in SS. The CGI could be better in the first movie, but it at least didn't change too much from the book. And while I came out of the theater slightly disappointed by Deathly Hallows
 part 1 AND 2, they were still pretty faithful. The part with Snape in the second part made me cry, to be honest. =/

The 3rd one WOULD be my favorite, but the fact that they cut out the part about the secret keeper charm just irked me. =| Anyone who hasn't read the book will not understand why they thought it was Sirius in the first place...
