Alcohol and Alcohol Free hand sanitizers are now in such ready supply these days its a wonderif there are any germs left.

I first used this gel many years ago, it was called no water hand wash then and was sold as a way of 'washing' your hands without a sink.

The product was not on mass sale and was specialised to those with exposure to water rats (don't ask!)

now it seems that there are more scares then ever about germs and more and more hand sanitizers.

They used to have foam dispensers of hand sanitizer all over my high school, but eventually it ran out and they stopped refilling it. Apparently some people were just spilling it on purpose, so they weren't going to waste the money. I still keep a bottle of it around. It's not a bad habit to have.

There are a few studies that indicate that such products can actually encourage the growth of a 'supergerm' that those gels won't kill, and it might be a particularly bad one. Those gels also leave your hands a little vulnerable as well; some germs actually help you, they're not all bad. You can look it up if you want. I just use normal soap.

when i am able to get a bottle of Purell i pick one up, i would use that rather than wash my hands, but i also usually have cuts on my fingers so thats kinda painful sometimes.
