Um...Choko...I seriously doubt that you had to write an 80 PAGE ESSAY on...whatever it was about. I mean, the most I had to write was like 4 pages.

You're only in 8th grade, I wouldn't stress over that. 60 pages is college thesis territory though. Just do what you can. Grades aren't everything. I usually got decent grades (I'm usually around a 3.2 - 3.4 GPA), but what impact will those grades have ten years from now?

Well you did not deserve your grade to go down. A 60 pageeeeeee project goshhh that teacher must of been drugged to make your grade go down.

I'v had several experinces myself at school with this kind of thing.


Thats one of the things I don't like about school or the teachers.. is even if you try your hardest and put the best effort into something they fail you just cause they can. I really worked hard on things and they would make excuses about my work and stuff.. saying it wasn't good enough or you didn't do a good job on this part and that part. It's just a thing with teachers I guess.

Never in my life have I heard of 60 paged homework. All I've ever done is usually do a bunch of paragraphs for stuff. But yes, I know what you mean. I had to do a 2 paged homework ( I know not that bigga deal) on something while listening to my ipod and my teach gave me a '72'.

I also remember my retarded math teacher giving me a '65' on my Final that I studied REALLY hard for what's weird is, it brought my grade up, lol.

If your writing sixty pages and only getting failing grades (42's and 55's) than you should either change schools or look for an alternative option. From my personal school experience at that age I at least got a D for work effort(if it looked decent on the outside)even if I panic/procrastinated/pieced the thing together four hours before I handed it in. I must say your teacher must have had some kind of projectile forcefully caught in his hindquarters to assign such a project! Good luck to you and sorry about your experience.

I have to get up and get ready to go to school at like, 4:00 A.M. Beh.I don't know about having to do a 60 page project, that's absolutely insane at grade 8 level. I know I currently have to do a 30 page business report for my Entrepreneur class. This doesn't need to be perfectly typed out though.My English teacher does have this need for giving out two projects a day sort of thing. And what's worse, I am in two of her classes; so it's actually four projects a day for me. These generally aren't small projects either. They are spend a week, present to the class for 5~10~15 minutes.The most I was working on at once was 9 projects. I obviously couldn't complete all of them. That bit my grade, really hard. The scars are still showing as I'm only at 40%. Last year I had 83% because the teacher actually gave us TIME to work on things.Also probably because last year I left for school at 8:00 A.M., not getting up at 4:00 A.M. to eat breakfast, shower, brush my teeth, and head out the door while the moon is still out.

What?! 60 pages now thats harsh you would be lucky to have my Geography teacher or my Science teacher they barley give me any work or essays or projects to do but when I got a new Science teacher my hole school life changed,she gave me exam question that I haven't seen before and she says it will help you do better at Science well I think that's bogus and sorry about your 60 page essay report what subject was it on anyways because I haven't heard of a subject that needed a 60 page essay report.
