C-3PO is great for comic relief and corny jokes (e.g. 'I'm quite beside myself' from Attack of the Clones) as well as providing a translator for the team, which becomes quite handy in some cases. But I like R2-D2 better simply because he has more personality and quirks than 3PO does. Sure 3PO has plenty of personality, but R2 has more. And R2 is so friggin cute.

R2-D2 beats C3-PO beucase he's not a humanoid, he's an oversized bullet shaped robot with rotating legs. He can show holograms projections with his eye, over-ride computer programming, and makes adorable beeping sounds. It's also fun to watch him when he falls over, and he can't get up. Oh R2-D2 ^^
