I will take advantage of free music when it is legitimate. I usually buy music, but very little from iTunes. I prefer to buy the CD as it can stay with me even when I have to replace my computer (and re-download repay for anything I bought).

I will never accept free art. I believe very deeply in supporting artists of all walks of life. It's not easy to do. If it was, I would do it. Even if I don't like the music I'll pay for the right to listen to it, because anybody who puts effort into what they do deserves to be rewarded for what effort they put into it.

People also don't understand that music pirating is kind of illegal. I've never once had anyone give me a valid reason why pirating isn't the same as stealing. You're taking something without paying for it.
The "it's just one copy" mentality and reasoning that they have enough money so why does it matter doesn't work because if everyone thought that way--which they do--then nobody would pay for it. Which they don't.
