Zamiel : my favorite interest is music so. FLAC take more space than mp3 (around 300-400 MB each album),but you get the same quality as the original CD

I had a lot of music on mine/grandma's computer before I moved out of my Grandmas house something like 6000 or something like that but she went and deleted it all of the computer only about 500 songs were saved on my iPod and brought to my moms house :/

I haven't checked lately, but I had to get an external HD for more music. I got a 1TB external, but since LimeWire went away, I haven't added anything new. At present, I know I have over 2,000 tracks. My Disturbed collection alone is 5 hours, and I can only assume that my Metallica collection is AT LEAST 10 hours. So, I can probably say that I have at least 24 hours worth of continuous music.

YourMajestyKen : If you have Windows Media Player you can put all your songs onto one playlist and it should tell you. I'm sure you can do that with other media players too.

You can check the folder you keep your music in. Find the folder, right click, choose properties. This will tell you how many items are in the folder and how much space they take up. Not as accurate because it will also include album art and the like but it's quicker (that's if all your music is in one folder lol)
