Well im soooorrryy I only played it twice.
I thought all of clouds memorys were actualy zacks.. Would that have made a better storyline? Maybe not..

Alot of them were Zacks, but cloud WAS created during that event on Mt. Nibel. Zack and Cloud were both severely injured and Hojo took then in. They were both posioned pretty bad by Mako. They did manage to escape from Hojo's Grasp (Shinra Mansion of Nibelheim). To bad for them, cloud was still injured and hardly able to walk, or talk. When they arrived at Midgar Shinra Solders got the better of them killing Zack, leaving Cloud in a near death state.

Cloud was then found by Tifa in sector seven (i think) Basically through a major state of confusion he lost all of his past, and in short, if youve played and remember it you will remember how quickyl he adjusted, how quickly he regained speech and be able to walk. Everything was fine pretty damned fast. That is because of the Mako now absorbed in clouds system. He was injured and confused. Basically, the mako made alot of stuff up for him to get better. turns out it jes made him sicker

i would say either FF7 or FFX, but my vote went to FF7. the decision is tough when you really compare all the games and there spin offs

FF7 is the best because its the only one that i played for more then 5h i got 3/4 thro the game but then my big bro lent it to someone and i did not see it again

I've played all of the Final Fantasies except for 9. My favorite is 8, followed by 6, 10, and 5. 7 is 5th.

The only reason 7 isn't higher is because the story is too unclear. You shouldn't need to play through the game more than twice, read supplemental material, and play three other games to get the whole story. I also hated the suckish translation.

Maybe you wernt in depth with the game. I played through it after IceWave04 did, so we were always discussing it, I guess that made it more clear.
All other FF7 games/movies are not needed to be played/watched to shed any more light on the FF7 (Game) story.

FFX loses points because of the bad ending - if that ending had been better, there would have been no need for that abomination known as FFX-2.

I never really got into FFIX. I kind of felt like it was, graphically and storywise, a step back from VII and VIII.

I liked the story of VII, but a couple of the main characters - Cloud, in particular - I found supremely irritating. That huge sword's still bad, though.

So, I guess my favorite one would have to be VIII. In a perfect world, the Junction system would have been just a mite simpler, but hey, I guess you can't have everything. I always thought Squall was a bit of an emo, but I guess he came around eventually. I liked the character set there. They all kind of seemed to play off each other. Zell wouldn't have gotten far with me if it weren't for him being so far opposite of Squall. Squall+Rinoa, I think, was and is still the best modern-era FF couple out of all of the games. Plus...FF8 introduced the world to...you guessed it...GUNBLADES.

I'm sorry, but FF7 is FURIOUSLY overrated. Yes, the graphics were stupendous for their time, yes Aeris' death was tragic as she was shanked in the back of the left boob, and yes, Omnislash is dazzling and, if you're in a dark room, may have a seizure... But Final Fantasy 8 clearly put more effort in it.


Reasons FF7 is overrated:
-An almost nonsensical plot that brinks on insane babble
-Too overhyped.
-Just basically a pretty face with dumb words falling out of its head; like Paris Hilton

Reasons FF8 is better:
-Characters are much more realistic
-The drama in the story is played like a well-written opera
-More mature look and definitely better music.
-There's WAY more bonus content; almost 35 hours if you're half-assing the sidequests.
-Summons are better-drawn.


I mean, FF7's story is INTRIGUING, but nothing more; yes, the planet is dying, we have to save it, there's an incredibly pretty--- almost woman-like--- man for a villain, lots of swords, explosions, swearing. It's like the violent side of a hippie, wanting the planet to live and wielding weapons to kill the things that plague it.

I've played nearly all of the FF series and FFVII is the best. GREATEST GAME EVER!!

Well said, FF7 is indeed the greatest game ever, it shouldn't even be an argument.

; meh... I kind of got sick of the high praise for it. I know it's good, geez :o It's been like, 11 years, it's over.... Oh yeah, and I hate how now S|E can make a crap spinoff of FFVII that is 9 minutes long and they rake in millions.

And no, FFVII is not the best game ever; it's a tie between the Shenmue* series and the first Mario game.

i got to the 3rd disk, and it screwed up! ( when i was 9 years old and i had it for playstation.)
