I know you all expect me to say 7...but the first one i played was 8 so naturally 8 is my favorite, it had everything, amazing summons that you could level up, Great characters (i mean come on you cant help but laugh at Zell) and it was fun to just play, ive started a new file in that game who knows how many times.

Final Fantasy 7 beats all of the others,hands down,final fantasy 8 would have rivaled #7 IF they had not changed the way you get your magic to "drawing" it out of monsters,there' was nothing more boring than spending 30 minutes to draw 100 out fiagra or something out of a monster while it slowly beat you up...original final fantasy was really awesome for it's day too.

I liked tactics best but thats not an option then it'd be final fantasy 8 i really thought seven was really over rated there were serious character flaws in my opinion but to each his/her own i guess right

It's a tie for me FF IV(II) and FF VI(III). Awesome stories and abilities. The fact that Nintendo has made a sequel to IV rocks, except the difficulty level is pretty off balanced in the beginning.

There is a lot to like about Final Fantasy VII. First it has sentimental value because it was the first RPG I played on Playstation and the graphics were amazing at the time. FF VII also featured a hero with a huge sword, Sephiroth, the coolest vi llain ever, and Tifa. Finally! A female RPG character that isn't just a magic user! A girl that can actually kick some butt! Honestly Final Fantasy VII wasn't my favourite story out of the FF games but it had great effects and music, it ws the first video game that was more like a blockbuster movie. Plus the Advent Children movie made me love FF VII even more.

Final Fantasy VII for me, it was the second rpg I completed entirely...100%. It had the greatest combination of story, characters, and combat engine/use of magic with materia. Final Fantasy VIII comes in a very close second, and then Final Fantasy X in third place. I just thought I would add that my favorite rpg of all time is Chrono Trigger because this is the game that got me into rpg's.

okay this was hard choosing between VII, VIII, and X but i had to go with X because the cinematics were absolutely amazing, Auron (yeah thats a reason all in its own!), and BLITZBALL even though there are a lot of haters on this game i feel it was an amazing piece of work.
