I've tried playing this game numerous times and i can go through all the adds and what not at the beginning and i can skip through those but when i get to the screen that says press start none of my controls work. Why is this and how can I fix it? I'd really like to play this game. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is your controller working with other games? All the other buttons work? Maybe the start isn't configured as u think, I would configure start to the keyboard if possible and then use the controller to play.

Double click on the screen to check the controls. That way you can know which button to press. If it's still not working just say so and I'll try to think of what else it could be.

I'm having the same problem too. The only difference is that I can press start, A, and B just fine, but when it comes to the anolog stick controls or the C-pad i can't move them at ALL. I've doublechecked the countrols, know what buttons to press, but it just doesn't work. Help please?

Same problem with me. This also happens with Dr. Mario 64. If it helps any, I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.

EDIT: I take that back; Dr. Mario 64 does work, but the pills are invisible. Probably just an emulator problem?

Ok so everyone here has the same problem. The reason the controls dont work is because the controls arent set to begin with. So you have to double click the game screen and manually set the controls to the prefered keyboard keys or controler. Im guessing its like this because everyone has different key preferenses. So you have to manually set the controls in the very begining. Hope this helps and you guys can understand it.

Oh and also if you get the blank game screen in the beginning then just wait a couple of minutes. If the screen does not change then click the reset button that is right below the game window. (you may have to hit the reset button a couple of times before the game functions correctly. I had to hit the reset button 3-4 times. This is possibly due to the large amount of graphics involved in the game. so give it time to load).
