I cant have much of an open minded opinion, but I think Reach is the best one out. Other than it being the only one I've played, I don't like FPS games, and yet, I play it all the time. so it shows that this is one great. It also has a perfect plot/story, gameplay, etc.

Halo: Combat Evolved, in my opion you can't beat the original! Also in my opion, I think it has the best campeign. Sure it doesn't have the best graphics, it doesn't have the best Halo Aresenal, Cortana isn't as hot as the other games. But that doesn't matter to me, as long as I get to shoot some aliens, it's fun to me.

I like Halo 3, but I was really competitive when it came to online because of how the ranking system worked, in which it basically required that you win more often to rank up. I like Halo: Reach better than Halo 3 because it doesn't matter too much if you win or lose, you still get that much closer to ranking up. When I play Reach matchmaking, I don't rage nearly as often as I did on Halo 3, so in my opinion, Reach > 3

I like Halo Reach because you can get special albities like Jetpack, Spirt for elites only, Armour Lock the best one and many more. I love using armour lock because people can not attack you and they cant damage you plus if you fire a Rocket Lanchuer at it you wont die.
