One time, I was stupid enough to click on some suspicious link that my friend sent me through IM, even though I told myself it wouldn't be a good thing. The next thing I know, my IM program is going all haywire and sending the same message to everyone in my contacts. I immediately booted up the antivirus and got rid of it, but it was a pretty frightening experience.

Just today somebody hacked into my Facebook account and kept posting ads to the Cheesecake Factory and a "tanning secret" video. I only learned it when one of my friends posted it on my wall. Apparently she and a bunch of others were hacked, all of which were other friends. And that's right, they posted ads for the Cheesecake Factory.

I also keep my forum, email, and social networking passwords different, to make sure that you can't get into all of them even if you get into one. I have hacked someone else before though. A couple times. Just friends, and all I do is log into their account and leave a note that they need to be more careful with their passwords.
