This thread is for chat about Generation IV games only.

So I guess I'll open the chat talking about SoulSilver and HeartGold. I love those games because it combines my favorite pokemon with the newer features of the later games. I really like the run button so you don't have to hold down B to run, and I especially like the fact that your pokemon follows you around! What do you guys think?

Honestly, this is my least favourite generation by far. I have Diamond and Soul Silver. Diamond got old very quickly and I hated the new Pokemon (outside of a select few like Drifloom, Drifblim, and a few others). I bought Soul Silver but after the first weekend, I just stopped playing. I completely lost all interest and here we are today. I still would like to play the new games though.

Yeah, I know what you mean about Diamond. The only reason I played Platinum and the rest was for the new story line. I wasn't too crazy about Team Galactic and the newest starters and pokemon.
I like the new features of SoulSilver, although I have to admit I haven't made it very far. I think I only have... 5 or 6 gym badges. But you have to admit that the fact that they brought the pokemon walking around back is cool. And it's not just Pikachu, but all the pokemon.

Gen IV is my least favorite, but it's still good. I could care less about the looks of the Pokemon from D/P/Pt I mix them up to make great Pokemon teams. I still haven't gotten the chance to get SS or HG, unfortunately.

I like Lucario from Gen IV, but most of the other new Pokémon weren't that great. I would like if they backtracked to previous games and made some good alternate stories like the hacks. I would have bought the Ruby Destiny series if those had been made. Just like every other series, they're running out of original ideas.

With Gen IV the Pokemon are either awesome or just plain boring. I must admit I was deeply disappointed with how many Pokemon you could get in SS or HG. Yeah you can get almost all the starters and all the Kanto and Johto Pokemon, but they don't let you get a lot of Sinnoh Pokemon and almost no Hoenn Pokemon. That is why I'm looking forward to R/S remakes so I can compare how much better they will be than HG/SS/D/P/Pt.

There were only a few Hoenn pokemon I liked and I didn't really like any from Sinnoh, so in my opinion, SS and HG had the right number of pokemon. It's called a remake for a reason.

the only problem with HG and SS was there really is nowhere to grind after the elite 4
that's why its the only pokemon game i have under 100 hours played
