I think Barbies are a stupid thing to collect in general, but not wrong. It's a little atypical for a dude, like everyone stated, but whatever. It's not gross unless he is 'weird' about it. You know what I mean.

What prompts such a question, Totts? Do you have a friend who collects Barbies or did you hear/read something?

Really, it depends on what exactly the guy is doing with the collection. If he is just collecting them, either displaying them or keeping them in a non displaying location, then it isn't wrong. Not even weird per say, just different. It's no different than one who collects action figures. Now, if the guy is sitting in his bedroom brushing their hair, changing their clothes daily, playing with them, or talking TO them, then there are some problems Not because it is a guy, but because it's an adult. No adult should be doing that. Heck, nobody over 13 should be doing that (and that might be pushing the age a bit).

Well, It's a bit out of place...

But, It's normal... Some people collects soda bottles and things like that, so, why not dolls?

It's very weird, yes... but I don't think it's wrong.

People like what they like... you can't judge them by a single detail.

It's not wrong but it is a little strange since you dont see it very often. I would think it's strange if an adult women were to collect them too. I mostly see young girls collecting them

Psh no. If a guy was smart enough to collect a bunch of barbies that were never taken out of their packages then he is very lucky. Those things are worth a lot of money.

I don't see it as wrong. I don't even see it as strange.

I find it kind of unfair how women can wear men's clothes, do things usually considered a 'man's job', and have hobbies usually only men have without receiving any negativity for it. Heck, if they do get harassed for it, most of society will chirp about women's right.

But god forbid a man decides to have an interest in something usually associated with women. Society jumps on them and criticizes them, even though moments ago they were praising the woman for stepping into the world of men.

The world needs to let go of its stereotypes.

I don't think its wrong per-se. I would say it would be a bit weird though. I mean, the fact of thinking of a man collecting Barbie dolls is odd. What is he going to do with them? Collect them as a whole? Maybe.

I, uh, personally think it is. f men are going to collect dolls, then should collect G.I.Joes. But then again, that is just my opinion that I can not force on any body. Drat.

I don't care what your hobby is, as long as:

1) you aren't hurting someone emotionally or physically
AND
2) the hobby has not consumed your life to where you no longer function in a healthy way and it has become less of a hobby and more of an addiction.

So, in many words, NO it is not wrong for men to collect Barbie dolls...
