i have a PURE black one.. i swear she could pass by being a black panther...
she has the SHARPEST claws i have ever seen...
and she loves to lay down on my back,lap,ect What ever, as long as she can cuddle with me..
But she likes to adjust herself alot and...

I have been scratched by my parents cats in the past and I have been bitten by a dog. The dog wasn't ours, it was a neighbors. He was mad that I went into his yard to get my ball

I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a 'TUDE. He can get pretty territorial over some stuff, like his food for instance. He did bite me numerous times, but now he doesn't even dare after teaching him a couple lessions...

Most the time it isnt an issue at all nowadays though. However after being around other dogs for extended periods of time, he always seems to a substantially more grouchy and sensitive.

He definately isn't a bad dog by any means. I guess he just likes to express his feelings...

Considering the pets I have right now are a turtle and a hermit crab, no they haven't. But I have had many cats in the past, and they've scratched me before, my last cat used to bite often, but he was still a kitten so he might've been toothing.

RideZeLitenin : thank you for the interesting post, I really enjoyed reading it, my uncle's brother had a Corgi when he was a boy, his name was Sandy, and he was just like your dog from the way you describe him. He was indeed a beautiful dog and a wonderfully supportive member of the family and he was also super intelligence, but despite this he was mega territorial or proud as my dad would say, he once took on a Great Dane (one of the biggest dogs as you know nad a corgi being quite small) the dog was so tall infact that Sandy's 'protest' did not even register with him, the owner did notice however, and stepped in only to get bitten quite bady on the hand and sandy had to go to court, well my dad did and the dog had to wear a muzzle for a year in public and my dad pay a fine, but can you imagine how Sandy felt wearing the thing!

I have a black labrador retriever and she doesn't bite or scratch but she JUMPS all the time. And not in a good way. She's always jumping on me and sometimes she chews my pants and drags me across the grass outside! I'm serious. She does love me, but she hurts me even though she doesn't mean to so I love her.

My bird has bit me. One time I had to grab her when she had escaped from the cage, and she was scared, so she bit me very hard and gave me a scar.

However, she is tame and very trusting of me, most of the time she just nibbles me affectionately, and it does not hurt. I even trust her to nibble my lips, eyelashes, cheeks, etc. without her hurting me. Birds should not bite. If they bite violently and very often, it can be a sign of stress and/or bad training.

My Grandparents' now departed chow chow (don't laugh) Grizzly was a little monster. He would go crazy if you accidentally stepped on his tail or something. Yes. I was nearly killed by our family pet. I don't remember my childhood, but apparently I was cruel to our dog. I was only 3 at the time. My mom would always catch me putting the dog in the fridge or toilet and where ever else I could fit him in and that final day. I normally would always lay in front of the tv watching and the dog came and sat right in front of me where I couldn't see. I kept smacking him in the butt. On the third time he spun around and started attacking me. From what I was told. He clamped down on my neck and began shaking me like crazy. I don't remember it, but I have a scar on my neck where he attacked me. Don't get me wrong. I was very young when that happen and I love animals. I was probably just a mean kid back then.
