Why can't our partners be more kind and caring sometimes I ws really ill the other week and all I was told was, your ill! look at me! yeah i thought you are sick dude just sick if you ask me and acting like a di$%

I try to be supportive if a girl I am dating is sick. I will say that sometimes people can be bad patients....

Anyways I don't think I have had anyone be that rude about it, but I am sure I have gotten the cold shoulder about being sick before

Ugh! I know what you mean!
I easily get sick with colds and sore throats, and whenever I tell my bf I feel bad, nauseous, headache, or something like that, he doesn't seem to care. All he can say is "What do you want me to do?"
But like he doesn't even come to the bed or look over at me. He just continues typing whatever the f*$% he wants on his STUPID computer
And when I get mad at him over it, he doesn't even realize what he did wrong.
But GOLLY if you have the lights on and HE has a small headache, he'll go bazerk.
If I have a MIGRAINE, the TV stays LOUD and the lights stay ON and I don't even get offered an exedrin.

And it's not only when I'm sick. He doesn't realize sometimes the bad-humored jokes that he makes that piss me off. Whenever he sees me mad he just tells me to take a Pamprin or a Midol and that'll resolve everything, but when I try to give him a taste of his own medicine, WOW. It's like the END of the FREAKING world!!!!

Srsly. Men. What are we gonna do with them?

Yeah jokingly my girlfriend does but she cares alot about me. and no none of my ex girlfriends has ever did that to me.

My Wife tells me to "Get over it" all the flippin time.When im sick or any other time I have some kind of complaint.Its really annoying.

No i can't say that i have ever been told to get over a sickness but i did get plenty of "Eww, why are you sick" and "stop being sick you can't be sick" that pretty much say to me get over it!

I've never experienced that, but my Aunt is terminally ill and my Uncle tells her to get over it all the time. I don't like how he treats her. She does everything for him. My cousin even treats her that way and he's her son!

Um...No I haven't been sick and told by my partner to get over it. Thats way too harsh! If your partner would ever say something like that to you...you probably shouldn't be with that person.

Never happened to me personally before, but something tells me that it's probably focused around the belief that their partner is just faking to get out of something.

HOWEVER, on the other hand, it's still a di**move to say "get over it" whether your partner/spouse is faking or not. I haven't had a gf yet, but I know that I'd be understanding no matter what. Faking or not, it's still EVERY partner's duty to offer their love meds, comfort, support, and they should obey the sick person's orders (IE, turn off the $%^& TV, it's making too much noise).

My parents never made me go to school when I was sick- I made myself. I had a fever and was feeling like crap for a week and I still went. Can't miss school.

As long as they don't act like I am their servant, I'm willing to help people out.

No, if she did say that to me I would either ignore her or leave her. Hearing that would make me pissed off and does not care how bad you are feeling.
