Let me be the first to wish you all a very merry Christmas. But you see I am also having this dilema.

I have this job... and at this job I make a lot of money... and even though I'm going to college I would really like to have an Mp3 player. NOW, I don't want to fool around with these.... Weak ones. 5,10,20,30 gigabytes. I really want somthing at least 40gigs-a Terrabyte.

So here is the deal, I've been looking for weeks and can't seem to find a good one. The Ipods are 300-400$ in this range. I guess I would get one of those If I had to. I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions and or comments. What Mp3 players do you guys use? If I got a big one, I'd just go over to my friends house and download 15,000+ mp3's lickety Split. Why the hell are there all these 512 megabyte ones? IDK, might as well buy a cd player.

Umm, you want one at 40 gigs? That's over doing it, didn't even know they made them that large...unless I mis-read somethin.

My MP3 player cost me about $50, 512 MB storage, voice recorder, built in FM radio and plays WMA files aswell and its' deffinately big enough for me.

I've never seen an MP3 player with over 80 gigs of space. I have seen Personal media players with 100-120 gigs of space, but a terabyte?! when the average person cant get that much space on a hard drive what makes you think an MP3 player would be able to address that much space.

Ok either way I would reccomend anything by Archos mostly their personal media players.

There is a $400 60 GB iPod.

I currently own the $300 30 GB iPod Video. [Hence the name can play music, tore photos and play video]*

60GB, hell even 30Gb should be enough for most people's music collection. A terabyte? That is just uploading more music you don't like to fill in the space.



*I don't have the damn thing in my hands, yet. They don't ship to PR so I had to have it delivered it to my mother's house. So, in about a week or two I should get it.

I think Zylo misunderstood what a TB is. I think he is thinking of 100 GB not 1000. But why would you need to upload 15,000 songs? I mean I don't even know if there are 1,500 songs I would want to listen to. lol. Well I could probably find 1,500 I would like but you get my point.

Well last summer I had to run the sound system at my brothers wedding, and I had to go download hundreds of crap songs. Instead of wasting all my time getting this song, and getting this song, I would much rather just download 15,000 of them.

Most of my friends who have 40 gig ipods have them filled up. Its like when I first got this 80 Gigabyte Hardrive. I was like WTF how would anyone use up all this space? Its incredible. You tend to use what you have.

Yes 1000gigs = 1 Terebyte (not exact) I know this, and I was exaggerating. Next time I'll say somthing like 60 Terrabytes so you'll know I'm exaggerating

LIkewise I havn't seen a MP3 player that had more than 60ish Gigs. Thx for the links, I was going for pure music players though. I am tempted to buy one of the 40 or sixtety gig Ipods.

Does anyone want to buy an Inspiron 5100 2.4 P4, 256Megs, 40gig, 32meg videocard, cdr/dvd drive. I bought it for 200$

They only make 30 and 60 gig Ipods now but they lowered the price by $50 I think, Zen makes a pretty good MP3 player but I would just get an Ipod.

I would say only get an iPod if you have iTunes. You can't put any songs in WMA on an iPod. All you lose with most (if not all) mp3 players that aren't Mac is iTunes support. I don't really think that is a big deal though. I like my Zen Micro.

You import the songs from Windows Media Player when you set up iTunes (which comes with the iPod), I believe. I don't know, I have a Mac. Hah.

But yeah, I would suggest just getting an iPod. They're a-f***ing-mazing. They do play video and such on them, and in my case it would be hella handy because I can save monstrous Photoshop files onto it.

Yeah Belial, but any songs you saved in WMA format will be copied into the Mp3 format. And very few people actually use iTunes that I know of anyways. But really either will do well. Check out http://www.cnet.com They have reviews there Zylo so you can look through them.

You know I got a chair that has a massages my shoulders and back, has a phone headset built into it and all the Nintedo and Sega games ever (even a Revolution) built in as well, and it has a CUP HOLDER so HA or something.
