In terms of importance the first RE

Now in terms of greatness, RE 4 was it.

It seems that they finally found a way to fix that shoddy camera in the first few RE games.

Oh, and the gamecube remake of RE [The first one] is Da tour de force. Mighty Good.

But I stick to RE 4, just revived the franchise and made people go 'whoa'

Oh and the cut scenes for RE 5 are kick ass. Zombies are back and they can run.

There's no way any of the older Resident Evil games come close to RE4, because of the general gameplay and the way they tie up loose ends from RE2. The GCN remake of the first was good but the Gamecube remakes of RE2 and Nemesis weren't to great.

No they were remade. They were probably better than the originals were. I don't really play any RE, but I think I would have to go with RE 4 because of the play style. It just looks like one I would play more than one of the older RE.

yes, i agree. The resident evil series has only gotten better with time, and 4 was my favorite so far. Even though they remade RE on the gamecube, the first resident evil still remains the only one i havent played.
