Do you have any procrastination stories, etc?


I procrastinate on most homework assignments I get. Sometimes I go on Facebook or Vizzed. Other times I just do nothing at all. I usually wait to write the 5 page papers until the day before they're due or do the 10 page papers 3-4 days before it's due.

It's actually somewhat bad because I generally get A's on the papers. I've actually found that I write best when I'm pressed for time. When I have lots of time, I over think everything and the paper isn't as good.

I do a lot. Mainly because I almost always get A's on anything I do at at the last minute. Grace under pressure

Yeah, I procrastinate a lot, I don't know if all of the pressure of doing the homework during class or of the morning is good for me though...

I swear one day I'm going to have a heart attack because of this stupid habit...

I procrastinated like there was not tomorrow in high school, but now that I'm in college I can't do that as much or I'll fail. I do procrastinate on easy assignments though.

I always procrastinate on every thing, and it sucks because I'm so used to doing it's like a habit now. My New years resolution is to not procrastinate AS much, so far it's been going pretty well. I hopw I can keep it up.

I used to procrastinate a lot and always managed to get things done but would be super tired afterward, so as you can see now i don't and homework still gets done but with better rewards!

I do it some of the time. Even thought it is because I usually finish all my work in school and the rest I just do it the next day. When it is due the next day, I would forget to do it and finish it in class before the teacher takes it up.

Oh yeah... Procrastination is a huge problem with me. Though not as huge as some people. I only procrastinate on a daily basis, where I get home and start doing homework when it starts to get later because I'm on the Internet a lot. But, I start things like projects a while before they're do. Some people I know at my school begin their essays the morning before it's due! I mean, how are you supposed to finish an entire essay in just that little time?

I always procrastinate and I know that I will be in very big trouble but I just can't seem to bring myself to do any work. Right now I am on Vizzed when I'm meant to be researching about King Richard I. Sighhh the research was meant to be due on Friday and the entire assignment due on first week back of school. I hope I don't do this over the holidays as this is a big task.

Usually on the last night before the whole thing is due, I always think to myself 'WHY didn't I do this earlier, WHY do I always leave it until the last moment.'

However, unlike most of you, I don't do as well as I would like to because of this.

I procrastinate  some of the time and when I do, it's usually when I'm sure I'll be getting a good grade anyways. I'm trying to break that habit for the incoming year, because I want to do well

i think everyone procrastinates on everythign not just homework i procrastinate on anything i can to do instead of whatever i should im starting to not do it as much but for me its a slow long hard process ... grrrrrr i might stop posting now and actually do soem of my coursework i should really take my a levels more seriously =.=

I am doing it right now. I have another final tomorrow, and I am procrastinating studying for it. Bad me

I procrastinate a lot, but only during the second half of my semesters, which is usually when the higher weighed assignments are handed out so it pretty much screws up my otherwise near perfect marks(my definition of "near perfect", not yours, of course). But I'm still able to learn what the teacher is teaching, but since it's my last year of high school, I have to buckle down and focus on my work all semester long.

( I hope saying "screws" the way I did doesn't get me banned...)

Sure I procrastinate! In fact, I am procrastinating at this very moment. I have homework that I should be doing, but I am instead posting on vizzed about how I should be doing my homework, but am not. I procrastinate daily. I'd say that my procrastination habits are quite severe. I tend to procrastinate so much, that I don't do my homework at home, and I will usually wait til the day it's due, sometimes the class period before it's due to do it. I've even waited til the class period itself to do it. This year, I got a 2.8 on my 1st semester GPA, (A B B B B B B D+ I don't need the class with the D anymore, and it hasn't affected my ability to graduate so I'm good, thankfully). I plan to get a 3.0 this semester so that means less slacking off for me. If I decide to wait til the due date to do homework, I will make a conscious effort to do it as early as possible and I will make an effort to do the dreaded school work at, *gulp*, at home.  I tend to make an effort not to bring anything school related back with me to my place of rest from school, but I will try to procrastinate less. As of late, I have only done essays and projects at home. Now, I will attempt to do regular homework at home. I think I'm gonna be sick X{. I'm a senior though, so I gotta work hard, as I have not exactly left myself in the best standing. (Overall GPA was a 2.4something, and I plan to get it up to a 2.5 before I graduate). I have a very strong feeling that I will not procrastinate at all in college. I  don't know why, but I do. I feel that my extreme procrastination habits will fade away in college quickly due to the fact that they do not baby you in college and don't give a crud if you are lazy and fail a class that you have paid thousands of dollars to take.

I procrastinate quite often. I usually wait 'til the last second to write a paper, read something for class, just about everything waits until the day before/night before. It usually ends up being okay, the worse part is that I sometimes get tired while I'm working on it or reading it, and might fall asleep, but I usually wake up and get it finished before I finally go back to bed. Always worked for me in the past anyway.
