I know I would (I would like to adopt one day if I have two kids and want more, no one should have more than two is my philosophy).

I think if people decide to adopt then they have probly already prepared themselves for loving a child that isnt your own.Its not hard to do.

I think adopted kids get more love from their parents because they were chosen. See, when I was born my Mom hadn't much choice other than keep me around

When a person decide to adopt a kid they are 100% sure they want that kid, so I truly think you are misperceiving the whole thing. Maybe your Mom is worried about some adult subject so that she seems more introspective than usual, but it doesn't mean she no longer loves you, or that she loves you less than before. And maybe she thinks this isn't the kind of problem she should put you trough.

Parents do it all the time, they are always trying to protect us by keeping us in a kind of bulb, away from all problems. No matter how old we are, we will always be their kids and they will always try to protect us from the cruel word.

So, couldn't this be the real problem? Try talking to her, tell her how you feel. Mothers just don't stop loving us like that, they are the ones who would do everything for us, and I'm sure your mother isn't an exception

It seems like plenty of people have already covered my point.

I'll answer a question with a question. Do you think parents would adopt a kid without the intention of loving them as much as their own child?

The idea of a parent completely abandoning their own child is very unlikely. In most cases, a parent has unconditional love for their child. If your mom was in a position where she knew she could not support you, it may have been in your best interest to live with a family who would still love you and could support you.

Also, my general understanding of the law is that your biological parents can not contact you until you turn 18 in the US. Depending on how the adoption was done, they may be able to contact you sooner than that. I think you can contact them at any time if you can find them. This isn't legal advice. It's just my basic understanding of the law. I'm not certain that the info is even accurate.

I'm sure the adopted parents love you very much. If you are around some one that takes care of you all your life and vice versa of course you gonna love them.

I'm sure they do. I mean, they want kids, why wouldn't they love you? Of course, I'm not adopted, but that's how I think it would work.

Yes, Fosters parents are just as loving if not more than the biological parents who gave the child up...

I know of someone who is a heavy drug addict...and is constantly having unwanted kids. I think she needs to be jailed but anyway the kids are in the system and are being taken care of MUCH better than they would have if she kept her kids...

I think Foster parents are heaven sent angels to the unfortunate children who were given up..

Depends why they adopt. Some do it plainly for the money.
I don't know how it is in other countries, but here, when you adopt a child you
get money from the government monthly.
But I would like to believe that the main reason is still love.

Most people adopt because they aren't able to conceive and want to start a family. Those people are most likely to show just as much, if not more, love for their adopted children. Then you have the people who do it for money and a tax write off. These people usually don't care as much about the child as they do whatever assistance they get. Sad but true. I've known plenty of adopted people who say they grew up very loved.

I think most couples/parents who unfortunately unable to have a baby decide on adoption with all the same love and care for the child (preferably infants who's mother's are unable to take care of). They love and cherish the child just as much. But there is always that distance when you tell them they are adopted, but again most adopted kids say I love you forever and always anyway.

Of course they do. At least the ones I know. I know someone that adopted two beautiful kids from Africa and they treat them with as much love, if not more, than they would with a blood child. Each child is special to a parent's heart, so I don't see why being adopted would matter in your relationship with them. Now, if they adopted you for a reason besides being raised as a healthy child, then there's an issue.
