Duh duh duh, duh duh, DUH! Dom... Ahhh... good old Super Mario. Remember when you were a kid and was eatin' mushrooms and stompin' Goombas? Well I do too. Too bad they never made an epic super-awesome 3-D Mario game for the N64... Oh, yeah they did... It was called SUPER MARIO 64!

First Issue: Gameplay! The controls for SM64 are very easy and rarely stick at all. There are a few glitchy problems with the camera but those can be lived through. I give gameplay a 9 out of 10.

Second Issue: Graphics! There are a few little easily seen over glitches that can be annoying. For one thing if Mario moves far away and keeps moving his face looks funnier than it did in Super Smash Bros. Other than that there are no graphics glitches. I give graphics a 9 out of 10.

Third Issue: Storyline! Mario comes after Peach when she bakes him a cake. When Mario arrives on the scene all the Toads say Bowser has kidnapped Peach. Haven't we heard that one before? Oh, well. Don't fix what isn't broken I guess. I give the storyline a 10 out of 10.

And the votes are in! I give Super Mario 64 a 9.5 wing-caps out of 10. Go buy this game in the RGR! Your're bound to like it!

mike345 : if you double-click the screen the controls menu will come up. Press default controls or select which controls are comfortable for you. Now go back to the regular screen and it should work.

That was one of my favorite N64 games back when it was new. I never beat it until a year or two ago and I never earned the Yoshi visit. I've seen it though and it was mildly satisfying. I wish he didn't just jump off the roof.

mike345 : A lot of people have trouble with N64 games in the RGR. It's generally either your browser or just that your computer doesn't have the specs.

I too remember this N64 classic. As we all know, the Nintendo 64 was an amazingly popular system and was a good transition from cartridge to disc games. The 64 came out with many great games, but this is a time where the first thing that they came up with dominates almost everything else made after it, which is really saying something. Everyone who hasn't played this game in years remembers specific things form it still. It seems that everyone can identify swimming in the moat before they figured out exactly what they were supposed to do. And who could forget picking up that giant crowned bomb and trying to throw him off the ledge for a good 10 times before figuring out that dropping him on the ground that is about 100X less painful is the way to go. The world was massive and there was so much to do. Most people didn't get all the stars their first time playing through, but that just gave it a great replay value. Once you got through the game, there was plenty of adventure left in which you could go wherever you wanted finishing what you didn't finish before. Awesome game.

I disagree with your storyline rating. Why get 10 out of 10 when the same exact storyline happened in not 1,2,3,4, or 5, but at least 6 times before? Really, SM64 does not have a storyline...

But it is a good game overall, so your score is pretty accurate.

Quite a good game indeed, my favorite game of all time, to be exact but the story line is kinda neutral on it, it has no variation, just the same as the earlier games, save Peach from Bowser, just you have to save the castle's power stars this time
