I'd have to say kirby super star (SNES) is the best. I love the buddy system and also the powers. But also Kirby and the Crystal Shards N64 has to be awesome as well.

This one is hard for me. It is between Super Star Ultra for DS of the buddy system is cool the levels are fun and the bosses and minigames are good. The other is the Crystal Shards for N64 the fact that you can combine powers was just brilliant! The only bad thing is stone Kirby is really cheap you do not even need to fight enemies with it, and I cannot figure out how to put the flame sword away. My favorite combos is cutter and fire to make a flame sword and cutter and cutter to make a giant spiked boomrang.
Though if I had to chose I would go with Kirby and the Crystal Shards.

Kirby Superstar was the first Kirby game I played and I still love it.

I had the original for GB when it was released, then I got 2 and 3 as either birthday or Christmas presents (I can't remember). Then when the NES Kirby was released, that became my favorite.

The subsequent games were not that good IMO, but I'm looking forward to playing Kirby's Return to Dreamland when I get the chance.
