Interestingly enough, Sega is making a game that they say is similar to Shenmue. Hearing that was enough to spark my entire interest on this game.

It'll be released in Japan on December 31st. I haven't found any information yet on whether it'll be released in the US, and when it would be. It will be released for PS2.


A few quotes on the game from IGN
"A new Shenmue-like PS2 game from the Super Monkey Ball team."
"Sega aims for a new Shenmue with Toshihiro Nagoshi's latest."
"Shenmue-like adventure to hit Japan in early December."
"New Shenmue-like game costs almost as much as Shenmue."
