I wish I knew what angling was (wikipediaing as I type). I never have gone fishing. My Dad and I had always planned to as a good father-son thing, but we never came around to actually going.

Now that I know what angling is, it is not very nice to say the least. I mean, fish are smarter and more evolved than we give them credit for. I love fish (mostly as pets).

I've been fishing twice, but I've only ever caught one fish. I just don't have the patience to sit there forever to catch a fish that I will probably have to let go anyways.

Man, I used to go fishing all the time as kid...caught a few good ones, too! (I'm the sort who fishes for food, not sport.) Haven't been in far, far too long though...besides a good way to put food on my table, I find it very relaxing. (Read : nap time lol)

Between May and October, fishing is all I do in my spare time. During July my family always goes camping for a week at the cabin, and the entire week, my brother and I are up before the sun fishing. We only come back to grab lunch and dinner, then we're back to the dock or shore line. I just find it extremely fun and relaxing. I even keep a little binder of all the awards and medals I've won over the years. But I'm strictly catch and release. I'm not a big fish eater.

I've been fishing loads of times, but I can't say I enjoy it too much. I only have one memorable fishing moment:

I was fishing with my grandma at Rough River. I was fishing with a Cane Pole (which is normally only used for catching Blue Gill in the shallow parts of the water), and she had a regular pole. Well I'm sitting there and I suddenly feel a HUGE tug on my pole. I yank it back, and there's a Large Mouth Bass hanging from the Cane Pole. I was scared sh**less because I'd never caught such a big fish before that day. So my grandma grabbed the net and pulled the thing in.

5 minutes later, she caught a cat fish that was around 9 inches long. So it was a good day.

Okay my fishing experience was the worst fishing experience up to date! first off i got attacked by some crabs that was humiliating because people were laughing at me, then we moved locations and when we got there i had to eat something so i went to the car to get a snack and i ended up locking the keys in the trunk, we had to pop the lock just to get them out and to top it all off, we didn't even catch anything...
