I really like Hoenn. It's got a nice array of weather, some nice islands, people, places, etc. Kanto and Johto (especially this) are very nice too. It's a toss up between Hoenn and Johto but I'd still have to go with Hoenn, I never had as much fun in Pokemon as I did there.

I would definitely pick Johto. The Pokémon in that region were the best. The environments and cities were also better than Kanto or Hoenn. I don't know much about Sinnoh so I wouldn't want to risk living there.
