Can anybody tell me why I keep losing fish in the pond. I do exactly what it says what til its hooked push and hold down and a + r to hook it and it keeps getting away and losing it. I've played the version before and I'm pretty sure it's a hooking problem not a tension problem....any ideas?

I haven't played the game on Vizzed, but based on memory from playing it on N64, I have a guess. I don't think it's a glitch.

Pressing R helps a lot, but if you overuse it, the fish can escape. If I remember right, you only need to press A to hook the fish when it bites. Turning from left to right sometimes helps reel it in. When it's close to the shore, make sure you're turned to a side. You can switch, but don't stay facing the lake. That helps pull the fish closer to you so Link can grab it.

You can use R to help, but it's possible to catch it without using R at all (I think). Try it out and let me know if it works.

While its true you dont have to use R it seems that after about 3 seconds the fish is just off the hook. I've tried A, A + down (which is how you are supposed to hook the fish), A + Down + R, and different reeling techniques it just doesnt seem to be working right.

i have the same problem too but i think it's a gaming bug or a glitch because i compared the nintendo 64 to the Viz and the nintendo 64 is much easy.

Yes, fishing is in fact impossible in this emulator because it will not let you hook any fish. So you cannot get the heart piece nor the golden scale........LAME
