I have a big problem with my computer. I just got doom 3 and I tried to play it for a while, when I of a sudden the computer restarts itself. Any suggestions.

Ok first of all this might be a BSOD

I want you to goto right click the My Computer icon and goto properties->advanced tab->Start up and recovery settings button-> then uncheck "restart automatically".

Then play Doom 3, if you get a BSOD write down the exact message and post it here.

Ok I did what you said Mrmenz, I am going to play it now and see what happens. If I reply to this same post I will have a paragraph below that saids it alright or not ok.

I'm back. The computer restart itself again. Mrmenz that thing you said to check off automatic restart did not work. The computer saids to run a diagnosis scan or something like that. Forget it I am getting rid of doom 3. I think its the graphics card. Its a sis. Really crappy graphics card. I think thats the reason why its shutting itself off.

Go to 'Start' > 'Run...' and type in 'dxdiag' and press 'ok.
You should see all the general specs of you computer.

Tell me what the Memory (RAM) says, what the Processor says, than click the 'Display' tab, and tell us the name of your graphic card.
