From what I can tell, all of the Republicans are trying their best to get rid of him. That being said, they tried that on Clinton back in the 90s when he was caught in that fiasco of his and had his lowest popularity. They tried to impeach him, and it didn't work. However, his approval ratings afterward skyrocketed. The same could happen with Obama. That being said, his ratings really aren't that low. |

God I hope not. But knowing how things are he probably will. I'm not going to explain why I think he'll get re-elected because it would just get me flamed. But anyway, I don't think he's a very good president at all. He didn't keep his word about the health care and he hasn't done anything to benefit the country since he's been in office.

gameface138 : Well that is the question, isn't it? That all depends on how well the economy grows in the next two years. You also have to keep in mind that BUSH had got reelected , and when I was 19 at the time I've asked a lot of people who the would vote for. Most of them said Bush. So if this is anything to tell you then I say that Obama will get reelected. But I don't vote so it don't really mean anything to me.

No, he will not. As it appears, Obama is about as likely to get a second term as I am to have a vasectomy in the next year. That is to say the chances are extremely low. I do not want a vasectomy...at least not yet.
Obama, while ineffective imo, has not been a bad president. He's been good. Soooo.... I wont vote for him, but he hasnt been a total disgrace.

I'm surprised at all of the Anti-Obamaness on here and the ignorance. Like gameface138, how can you say anything about him when you haven't even heard him talk? He's only been president for less than 2 years. The country was falling deeper and deeper into a hole with Bush. He didn't exactly have a real good time to begin his term either. What were the expectations after two years anyway? One man can only do so much. He at least got the ball rolling with health care and at least he stabilized the job losses better than when Bush was in office. I've noticed that a lot of Tea Party people keep complaining about their taxes. They've actually been lower now than when Bush was president. I don't understand. To me, it seems like many people just want Obama to fail because they can't stand to see a Black man president. The voters seem to agree with this in all of the age groups except for mine. However, voters my age seemed to disappear in the last elections.
Obama was correct in saying that there would be change, however, he can't speak for the 300 million+ people who collectively have been doing their best to keep everything the same. i dont think hell get a second term. when he first started everyone i knew liked him but now very few people do.

drag00n365 :
gameface138 : I'm sorry, it's just that I never recall Bush getting this much flack in his first term before his 2nd year even ended. I'm not saying that you or drag00n365 are racists, I'm saying that the history of our country has seemingly forever changed the way that we view each other. Despite civil rights and more equality now, years of despair for African Americans of not getting good jobs, being excluded from the white neighborhoods, and forced to live in the ghettos has still plagued them. The racism that plagues minorities today is different than what plagued minorities yesteryear. Back then, we (since I would have been not considered white back then) were victims of racial slurs, occasional violence, crappy jobs, etc. Now, even though there's affirmative action to help, years of living in the ghetto still can't be erased. It's easy to get there, it's hard to get back out. Most of the children there are raised to believe that they don't have a chance in our social world. Instead, they're out of the loop entirely and live by their own rules. Education is not valued there, instead respect among other things that you probably have heard about in golden age hip hop are (seriously). Race and racism are touchy subjects, I know. But not talking about them and just keeping quiet will not take away the centuries of it. We are all effected by racism. We all have been through different experiences in our childhood that have shaped us to what we are now. But, that's not our fault. Sure, we may laugh at a racist joke and yes, we may seem to find certain people who live up to their stereotypes, but, we don't have to act out these thoughts. The first thing in solving a problem is admitting that there is a problem. That being said, I genuinely believe that you two may very well not be racist in the overt, personal sense. But, having such unrealistically high expectations and being unaware or at least confused about some of the things that you hear, made me think otherwise. I like Obama. It's not because he's black or because he's Democrat, it's because he knows that change is something that people don't actually like, but, he knew that change is what this country needs. Also, I like a president that can actually read his teleprompter correctly. I apologize if I made you feel uncomfortable, I feel very strongly about some things. gameface138 : I'm sorry, it's just that I never recall Bush getting this much flack in his first term before his 2nd year even ended. I hope he doesn't.... I want a fiscally conservative leader. Clinton is the last person to balance the budget but that all went out the door when the dot com bubble burst at the beginning of Bush's presidency and then 2 wars happened which haven't helped... and now Obama is spending the US into the ground.... it's not sustainable and some people think it's too big of a pit to get out of. I hope they're wrong but Obama is not the person to fix what he's done so far. -------------------- |

I believe he will, but I'm not so sure I'm glad about that. He's the president, and I support him, but I don't support all of his choices. Obama is a very talented public speaker, and is the first African-Amerian president, so he has a lot of public excitement behind him. During the next elections, he'll have quite an advantage in those areas if he chooses to run again, which he probably will. I agree with geeogree's comment: "Obama is spending the US into the ground." Bush began the downward spiral, and passed it onto Obama, who has infuriated it with spending that looks good on the outside, but in the inside, is a futile attempt for public "redemption" by politicians who don't know what to do; or know what to do, and ignore that. There a few good voices out there, but the few are too often choked by the many.

I don't think he will, he's made so many promises that they just cannot be fufilled, which means people will detest him for not doing so, and he will have a downfall and then 2012 will come around, and the next president will come around.
