This is for anyone who had a great game like Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Country, Pokemon Red, Banjo Kazooie, etc.

Ex. When a new system came out, you sold your great game so you could have enough money to buy a new game. A few years later, you totally regretted it.

Or you got rid of it for some other reason. Maybe you just lost it and still haven't found it.

I glanced through the threads and I don't think this is a repeat. Sorry if it is.

I sold almost all of my N64 games as soon as Gamecube came out. 5 years later I regretted losing almost all of my collection. I sold Super Smash Bros., Super Mario 64, Yoshi's Story, Mario Party 3, Pokemon Stadium, Banjo-Kazooie, and a few others. Yes, I'm one of the idiots who got caught up in selling good games to get new games.
I'm trying to rebuild my game collection using Ebay and Retro Game stores, but it's not easy now that a lot of them are considered collectibles.

I actually have never sold a game in my life. I have my dead copies of the first three Spyro games, in fact. I do regret never at least destroying my copy of the GBC game Rugrets in Paris, though... I need a tri-wing or whatever screwdriver to destroy it the way I want to. It must die!

Yeah... I'd rather destroy a game I know sucks than allow it to exist...

It's one game I really regret selling and that game is Mega Man and Bass for the GBA!
I'm a big Mega Man fan and I remember I found the game in a game store and I bought it and I was really looking forward to play the game but when I first played it I couldnt get pass the first boss and that got me really frustrated so the day after I sold it. When I played the game again here on vizzed I think of how much I sucked at Mega Man that time and how much I really miss that game...
Another game I regret selling is Castlevania II for the Game Boy

Yeah, I sold some of my old NES games for money at a retro game store. But even today, I still don't regret it.

I've never sold a game either, I don't think. But I have lost some that I wish I had back that I've lost over the years, like Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, Super Mario Bros. 3 for the GBA, and Battle Star Heroes or whatever it was called.

There aren't many games I've sold that I regret doing so, but I definitely regret selling sonic riders, especially over not beating a level, it shows defeat, weakness, and that I forget to check the boxes for memory cards before giving my games away

I sold my old N64 and all games and I regretted doing so

----------
PS2: Fine.
Mega Driver with 71 games: Nice.
Super Nintendo bought at the fair for US$ 25,00: Double Nice.
Turbo Game VG9000T bought at the same fair for US$ 5,00: Just Great.
Black Mega Driver 3 found in a trash can with 4 cartridges: works like a charm.
Long in the tooth Atari: running smoothly
Xbox360 Falcon bought for US$ 700,00, used for 6 months: May devil be with it and guard it.

8bitgamer : I sold my NES console with about 20 games at a yard sale for $10. I really regret that decision. I probably wouldn't regret it, though, if I could know that it was enjoyed by someone.

It is for this reason I have never sold a single video game in my life. However, I regret giving away some of my games after I beat them, like Dungeon Dice Monsters, and Destroy All Humans.

I traded my Super Smash Bros. Brawl game for a Microsoft Year of Gold Pack and Eminem's Recovery. I regret it because I'm a SSB junkie, and everybody challenges me to it.

I gotta say, I think one I really regret selling was Final Fantasy 10. THREE FLIPPIN TIMES!

I sold it my first time because I beat it. I never keep old games really so why keep another one? About week later I regretted it and coulnt get it back.

The second time, I had REBEATEN IT, and was like ok, time to just get rid of it again. Once again, I nearly instantly regretted it.

Wanna know what's stupider than making the same mistake twice? Making it a third time. I wont o into details.

I have it again and will never sell it. I have broken the case, thrown out the recipt and made so only I would want it. So only I will own it from now on.

I regret selling my copy of Loz Twilight Princess. I beat the game after renting it twice at blockbuster and didn't have enough money to buy a new game. I sold it and got it metroid prime 2 which is good but not as good.

I kinda am regretting selling Sonic Unleashed now. I went and played the demo on the ps3 today, and noticed how good the day levels were, compared to night. And I was really close to finishing it, too. All it's doing now is (other than sitting on the shelf ) mocking me for my defeat in failure. =/

I never actually sold any games for my retro systems (i.e. SNES, NES, etc.) but I will probably get some weird reactions for my only game I ever regret selling.

My one game that I regret selling is the original Tony Hawk's Underground for the Playstation 2. I am a huge Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Underground franchise fan, and to this day I am still not sure why I sold it. I've been trying to keep an eye out at my local game store to see if they might get a used copy of it in so I can get a used copy of it back (I don't miss it bad enough yet that I will go on ebay or somewhere to get it). Seems like since I sold it, none of the game stores I check have it in stock.

I think that I've sold just two games. Both were disappointments so I don't regret them. I usually keep everything though.
