I thought I deserved better
I thought that you would make me feel special
I thought that maybe it was my turn
I thought maybe for once I’d be the happy one

I thought a lot of things
I thought maybe I’d found the right one
I thought maybe you’d be able to bring me back.
I thought maybe for once, I wouldn’t get hurt

I thought for once, falling in love would be painless
I thought for once, mine had come to an end
I thought for once, my life would fix
I thought for once, that I could get what I wanted

I thought maybe, just maybe this was right
I thought maybe, just maybe, I would be ok
I thought maybe, just maybe, that all was well
In the end, I guess I just thought wrong.
