I just downloaded firefox 4.0 and so far I like it. It looks quite a bit like Chrome which doesn't surprise me and it seems to run pretty well. It was an easy upgrade to have a look like chrome but the add-ons of firefox . Still in the beta stages so some people may not want to upgrade yet but I figured I would toss this info out to anyone who uses firefox.

I may have to look into it. I love FF, but honestly what I hope 4.0 does is make it use less resources. Any word on that Geeo? FF 3.6 seems to use a ton of RAM.

Hopefully I can get it working or they release a better beta or something.... cause right now it isn't working so well =/

yeah.... I just opened 8 tabs and it's still under 100k.... I think they might have done something to minimize the impact of a new tab? That would be awesome. I dislike Chrome for that. If I'm using tabs in chrome and open the task manager I see a chrome.exe for each tab running between 40 and 60k each....

Firefox has been making a lot of improvements over the years and 4.0 is no exception. Unfortunately it hasn't been enough, Google Chrome and Opera both have better performance than Firefox. I still use Firefox on and off, but it's main advantage is the addons.

I use Opera, and since it isnt an incredibly popular browser, there aren't many viruses that can affect it. It is essentially a condom for the internet.

As I said before, (lol I am currently updating my Firefox) but I still use Opera and Google Chrome as well because they have different things that they do support. Opera is great for turbo, but I do have noflash add-on for FFx as a substitute when I am using it.
