He bet us that, using no more than five individuals, one of whom is a personal acquaintance, he could contact the selected individual using nothing except the network of personal acquaintances.

Well amazingly using the theory of "6 degress of separation" I could have relayed messages through a personal network of friends to Bruce Lee, and I could have done it in 3 steps! I won't name my friend to protect her identity, but she knew Bruce's close friend Inosanto.
