Jake, I forwarded you the email Joe sent me with the completed, full-size wallpaper attached.

BTW, the version of the logo he used in the wallpaper is a fixed version I created with the GIMP. I noticed that our current logo had some odd spacing in the word "Chrono"...namely, between the "R" and the first "O". So I modified it to make it look right.



I'm gonna start calling our group the CTRPG from now on. It's a lot easier to type than writing out "Chrono Trigger Remake Petition staff" so it isn't confused with CTRP.

OK, cool.

LOL, as a slogan for fans who know of CTRP, we could call ourselves "The other CTRP"

Yes, 2 of the 3, not just 1... I'm taking care of the sig with the Epoch, using the original Chrono Trigger's old slogan. Anybody remember what it is?

Interesting. I'm expecting Saridon to give me another one of his works relatively soon. It seems we may actually meet this deadline... somehow. Sounds good. Just a little bit more to go!


Jake, might I suggest that we mention these artists somewhere? They are helping us, for free, afterall. Hence it is my suggestion, for the sake of giving at least some little thing in exchange for their time, that we mention them somewhere... if possible.

There's no reason not to mention them in the Downloads thread in the forum...

Here's what I have right now for the Epoch sig, with CT's old slogan. I do still have the non-merged version so I can change colors, intensity of those white panels, fonts, etc. I'm no professional graphic designer, but I think I might be onto something. Thoughts?

Just realized... Saridon already claimed he intended to do that Epoch signature. Then again, he hasn't emailed me or even made mention of any progress. I'm starting to think that he either gave up, or ran in to some time-consuming problems. I can't really tell him he can't do it, as he may already be almost done with it. Hmmmmm... I hate to say it, but we might have to use his as a "backup" for download in the Extras section (if he makes it).

Just thought I'd point out the possible "conflict" of sorts.

The only possible problem is that Saridon might do the SAME thing... thus being a waste. Quite frankly though... I am not sure if he is still working on it. He hasn't contacted me for a while now.

By the way, Wolfpack brought something to my attention at the CT:RP forum. You guys may know about the Chrono Trigger Novel group that's got a petition going around. If not, here's the link: http://www.chronotrigger.info/. Wolfpack was thinking that the two petitions could "join forces," meaning merge into one petition. I told him that one of the things we established very early on in the forming of the petition group (I think that instead of "group" we should be a "faction." Sounds sooooo much cooler.) is that we don't want to get a lot of extra demands besides "Remake game" in the petition. However, he did get me thinking... the two petition efforts can still benefit from each other. If we each put a link to the other petition on our respective sites, then it could be that all signatures that they get we would get too. And since they've been at it for a little while, we could ask them to contact all those who have signed their petition informing them about us. What do you guys think?

Might be worth a shot. Hmm. How many signatures do they have? Ballpark?

I didn't see that figure on their site. We can find that out when we contact them, but first I'd like some sort of agreement from the rest of our faction. What do the rest of you think?

OK, it's Tuesday. We need to launch tomorrow night at midnight. (And since the site itself is already up, that just means all graphics need to be in by then so we can go screaming it like lunatics at every forum we know.)

I'm going to lighten that grid a bit in my Epoch sig, but we still need the remaining sig and background turned in by tomorrow night. 'Kay?

Whoa, whoa, WHOA! Time out. Tomorrow at midnight? I thought we were launching on Thursday. That's what you said to us last Wednesday, Jake.

I don't care about the other petition. They have some interesting ideas (if you download a copy of the petition, it comes personalized with your name on it), but it's a petition to publish a story that I have not read in full yet. And until I do read the whole story (which I hear has not been finished yet, BTW), I don't see why we should bother expending the effort, time, and resources necessary for the linkage.

Whenever I hear the word "faction", I think of Communists. (Red Faction, anyone? ) Needless to say, I'm gonna continue referring to us as a "group", because I still like to call us the CTRPG. Besides, "faction" just sounds too militaristic.

Jake, write the web address of the forums into the .TXT file for the site's news section, and add a little note instructing people to copy/paste it into their web browsers. That way, you don't have to use HTML for the text. You MUST get that done before the launch, or else not as many people will find the extra downloads.

Has the "name" problem on the site been fixed yet?

I still haven't heard back from Claado Shou. I don't think he checked his email. I'm gonna send him a PM at the Compendium now requesting that he check his mail.

Prop, I said Belgium for no particular reason. The phrase "King of Belgium" sounds funny to me, that's all. And they've got some great chocolate and waffles over there, too. Mmmmmmm.
