I barely watch movies outside of a lot of action and mass murders! But when I saw the movies Homeward Bound and Marley and Me...it bought tears to my eyes. Homeward Bound was tears of joy that they escaped the hole they fell in. And Marley and Me tears of sadness at the end...I won't say cause I don't want to spoil the movie.....but it's a very good movie.

I'm kind of with Zamiel here...

I loved movies like Homeward Bound and Milo and Otis when I was little (despite the somewhat disturbing scenes toward the end), and I even liked animated ones like Fox and the Hound. Now I need character development though, and animal movies seem to lack much of that. I'm not trying to put anyone down; great for you who can get attached to the characters because they're animals! I just can't.

The Air Bud series was rubbish though. Horrible films.

Yeah, I enjoy those movies usually. I love movies such as Racing Stripes that really give you time to know the characters and have good contrasts. Of course, there's always the movies that get you to tear up, such as Old Yeller.

Yeah. Cannibal Holocaust is the best one.

Dark humor aside, yeah. Just not when used in the way Cannibal Holocaust used that turtle. At least it was a common turtle species there... I'd watch Cannibal Holocaust with the turtle scene, and not be phased, but that scene was pretty uncalled for. Special effects were good enough back then to just make it look like a turtle got chopped up. Why the man behind the movie deferred to using a real turtle is beyond me... He even hates what he did with that idea.

I like mostly horror, animation, and comedy movies myself. A bit of drama kinds of movies are okay if they aren't Lifetime exclusives.

Yeah, I kinda like them. Most of them are just weird or stupid. Of course, Marley & Me and Homeward Bound were excellent movies with real animals in them. I really like any type of movie, but the animals that get the spotlight in some movies feels kinda stupid.
