All of them. For one, they all have amazing games. The Wii is notorious for the shovelware, but it has a great library of games. I got the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles game for it, and it's not as bad as I used to think. The Wii isn't strong in controls really, but that's just my tastes that get in the way. I will always keep a couch potato type controller around as long as they exist. I don't like motion control.

The PS3 has the advantage of being made by a company who has worked with electronics and, specifically, electronics with powerful hardware inside. They make 3D TVs, made some amazing non-gaming hardware, and are very experienced in the electronic business. They deserve all the love they get. Their consoles are well-built, and their reputation for being a solid tech company is always kept up. They also have some of the better RPGs and Platformers of this generation. Just like with the PS2, they are still a winner in games and build.

Microsoft is skilled at making powerful computers, and the Xbox 360 doesn't go short of this. They scrapped the computer hardware thing they did with the Xbox, and now use a more typical hardware style. This is a bit sad for some, but it really helps with boosting third party support. If anything, it's lucky to have been made by another well-experienced company. Yeah yeah. Tons of shooters for this one, but so what? Ever played some of them? I played a Call of Duty game. It was great fun. It doesn't hold a candle to the experience Doom gives, but it was great fun. I loved every minute of it.

I know Nintendo is skilled at making consoles that last, but in this day of media that is fragile, Nintendo has gotten a bit fragile. My original DS is on its deathbed after maybe over 5 years. That says a lot about how they've changed in hardware. Since our media is becoming made to be played with careful hands, we now blame companies for what we could stop. This excludes the Red Ring of Death. That is always Microsoft's issue.

If I must choose which one is better, I will not. They are all wonderful systems, and are all well made. We have to look at them with the knowledge that they are all different. The Wii is more for the family bunch when it comes to most releases. Even the T rated games for it are very tame. The 360 is more for the competitive bunch, just look at Halo 3. The PS3 is more for the people who game alone, and enjoy playing stuff without the need for other players. They all weave a thread that is much like human skin pigments. We can't truly say any of them are any better than the other.

I have played all and owned all but the 360. Gotta say PS3 wins. The one thing the Wii had going for it is obsolete because the Move does it so much better. Sorry kid, looks like the Wii is toast.

legacyme3 : Why does the Move do motion control better, though? Because it came out after the Wii. Why did the Super Nintendo have superior graphical capabilities, sound capabilities, and power compared to the Genesis? It came out later. Technology improves at a fast rate in our world. The Wii is what popularized motion control. To say what helped moved motion control to the mainstream is outdated is understandable, but it is a technology that still is very flawed. I mean, the Move probably will get the same things said about it once a better motion control software comes out.

The Move also was being made longer from what I heard. The makers had more time to learn about the technology, and improve. The Wii was being made by a company who had tried the motion control thing a few times. Seriously. There's been numerous Power Gloves that spanned other systems. Sony was learning from those hardwares, probably.

In conclusion, what comes out later is gonna be more advanced. Also, the Wii has tons more potential still. The thing is, risk takers aren't noticed often, and we get less attempts at new things due to this. Another problem is the stereotype. Families feel at threat when an M rated game comes out for the Wii, so this is a big problem for the Wii's potential. Just look at all the complaints from people about the Wii Zapper. It makes that story about the woman who thought the Pool's Closed internet joke was racist, when it was actually a protest against racism seem like something out of a Milk Carton's Missing Child prints.

KlawedFlaw : I agree with that for the most part.

Usually later technology is indeed better or more efficient. Not ALWAYS the case. However, in this case I agree. The thing about the Wii is that it did have motion control before PS3 and XBOX 360. But for now, the one draw to the system is indeed obsolete compared to Move and Natal.

At any rate. Wii had better start taking more risks. Otherwise, Sony and Microsoft will bury Nintendo for the next few months completely. The one thing Wii still has is it's young market. I still see 8 year olds who say, "I want the Wii! It has motion control!" without realizing that PS3 and Xbox do too.

Once kids find out about those facts, they take a look at the graphics, and after that, they are usually sold (kids are like that, let's be honest)

Games wise, I like Microsoft's selection, but I prefer the PS3 for many reasons. One of them being that I prefer their interface.

legacyme3 : Sadly, you're right. I was one of those kids for a time, then I stopped caring. I used to regret buying a Wii due to the amount of shovelware, though. I don't mind it much now, but it just gets tiring looking through shelves, and thinking, "God, please, please! Just let this store have something not involving mini-games!"

The good thing is, my town has a dedicated gaming store. It even holds contests for professional gamers. They've got great service, and sell NES - new games. They even sell Dreamcast, and Sega Saturn games. I don't have to go hunting anymore for the most part. I'm a big PS2 gamer, and will be until every unit dies. Haha.

It is too bad kids will go for what has the best graphics. I used to be poked fun at because I didn't have an Xbox and this Microsoft fanboy had one. He would boast everyday. This was in freakin' 5th grade, too. I would act immature back then, but if I was the way I am back then, he'd get beat everytime he tried to prove himself right. Everyone was all about graphics back then. I was one of the few gamers who wasn't about graphics. Also one of the few gamers who was female.

The PS2 had motion controls way before all the current consoles. Remember the Eyetoy? Yeah. That thing was the first well-done attempt at motion control. At least I'd think so.

I agree that the Wii needs more risky games. We need more games that do what Madworld did. Take risks.

I think so, yes. I never got the eyetoy because of the cost itself. And the few games it supported? Was never too interested in it. However, it was well done, Usually pretty acurate. I will never forget swatting ninja monkeys (or whatever they were) away with my bare hands. Made me feel powerful.

And I too think it is sad. The minigames are something we have to deal with. Mostly because Nintendo wants to pander to their younger fans right now. They hath abandoned us!

Dedicated gaming store? Awesome. I never owned a dreamcast, but always wanted to. If I can find one cheap I'll be buying that. The fact of the matter is, I prefer the older games. I mean, dont get me wrong. I LOVE the new games too, but at heart I'm a retro gamer who cared more for gameplay than graphics.

I'm a huge PS2 junkie myself. But I upgraded to the PS3, because of it's higher memory capacity. It was always a pain having to get a new memory card =/ although that's half the fun of having an older system isn't it? The PS3 just holds it on an internal hard drive. So it is convenient.

Kids will go for whatever looks coolest, as opposed to what actually IS the coolest. I see kids turn down Earthbound because they would rather gawk at the beauty of Assassin's Creed for example. That's a slap in the face. Assassin's Creed is good, but Earthbound is just... EARTHBOUND!!

Risks are good for systems like the Wii that are falling behind. Madworld 2 anyone?

I would say the wii! I like it the best because of the online content that it provides. I also think the games are much better in the game play and quality, seems like more care goes into the Nintendo games. I do not mean third parties, those games are usually really bad.

I'll have to go with the Wii. I like the motion controls, and has many great games on it, though a great amount of them aren't in the spotlight for long. Plus it can play Gamecube games on it. WIN!

I personally prefer the Xbox360 over the PS3 and thw Wii, but they are all good systems, and it really depends on wat kind of games you prefer (except for the PS3, the Xbox360 is definitely better than the PS3).

Best Keep your concience as clean as you can, or charma will come with a blade in it's hand. It will strike all those who seek to gain without giving, and spare all of those who are weak and forgiving.

jonny5 : Maybe, it’s just me being semi-excited to finally be able to play it again this weekend after I buy a new console but I have to remain loyal I vote PS3. I am curious to see what this PS Move feels like. They say it’s better than what Wii was. I never brought a Wii but I do know people who have it and I wasn’t really impressed and I was a Nintendo gamer from it’s original inception. Sony basically took over in the 90s and there hasn’t been a real challenge yet, but I do regret a little about not getting to buy an N64. Maybe one of these days I’ll look for one on eBay.

bvd1022 : The Wii's motion control is a huge improvement from previous attempts at this. That is for sure. It was great for when it came out, but it isn't always responsive without the Wii Motion Plus... Pretty stupid, considering it wouldn't have been impossible for them to work on some expansion unit port that looked much like an SD card slot so you could improve the motion control with a special SD card... Guess companies don't bother with remembering how smart it was to do those "just in case" things with consoles before they came out. *sigh*

Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 have removable hardrives. The PS3's isn't marketed as a console with a hardrive that can be removed, but many people do that in order to increase memory space. Not sure if this is possible with the 360, but who knows? Innovation is great, but Nintendo should lay off a bit. They are just trying too hard now, and seem to be sore about Sony being in the lead for two generations of consoles.
bvd1022 : The Wii's motion control is a huge improvement from previous attempts at this.
