I just learned something cool about the Pogo stick.

It was invented in Burma of all places first of all,and one day a german mountain climber was traveling along a road outside a small mountain village when he came across a little girl hopping on a stick her father made for her.He was a farmer and he made it for her because there were lots of rocks and mud and stuff along the road. he made it so she wouldnt get dirty on the way to church.And the little girls name was Pogo!!
Anyway the guy took the idea and made the pogo stick we all know and love.
i thought this was a really neat story so i thought i would share it.

Interesting story. I'm very tall and haven't been able to succeed on the pogo stick as of yet. It's good to know why its called a "stick," when it technically is not one.

Maybe one day, some kid looked at an apple and thought it would be fun to throw it in the air and make it land back in his hand, and thus, catch was born. I would love to go back in time and pretend to invent stuff I know about today. I would be a fraud, but a rich fraud. Maybe they'd name a city after me...END.
