About 6 hours ago Vizzed DB was transferred to a new Server. This process actually went very smoothly, I think the site was only down for a half hour if that.

What does this mean for everyone? Well the pages should still run quickly even during peak hours. Vizzed should now be able to handle between 2000-3000 people on at a time, compared to 500-600 before. Connecting to a DB that isn't on the same server as the PHP files adds a slight delay but hopefully it isn't to noticeable.

I also updated the Chat Bar to a stable release which means that it should have less glitches now. I also changed the scheme of it a little.

If anyone has any questions or comments, please post them here.

Well sorry to say pages are loading slower for me now.
Whether this is because the DNS updates havnt gone through to the stops between the server and overseas locations I dont know.

I'll also note that chat was not working right, I couldnt get into rooms or talk to anyone or see they were online until I cleared my internet cache files.
So if anyone is having the same problems they should clear their browser history and cached files and that should fix chat for them.

thanks David everything is loading faster.i did notice a slight delay when i first got on the site but it faded in time.i like what you did with the chat bar now you can see everybody,s pics in the chat bar i think that was a good idea upgrading it.when i go to my profile i noticed that my games list loads faster.also when loading a game from the retro game room it seems to be faster.thanks for making this site better and more faster and also i noticed that before i couldn't talk to you but now i can so don,t be surprised if i chat with you every now and then.thanks keep up the good work peace.

I noticed yesterday that the site was loading significantly double the amount as usual, however, I'm not sure what the situation is with the chat rooms. Before the upgrade, I saw in the available chat rooms "Vizzed Chat," it's not there for me now... Anyway I'm not sure if I'm missing something with updates .

Davideo7 : It was taking about 30 seconds to render the page each time. A portion of the page would show up, bit by bit, until all of the posts/threads were available. It's been fine since I switched to the Mac I'm using right now.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.
