I would have to agree with the majority on this one. What words I speaks in the world are seldom heeded, so having no voice would not affect me a lot. I am already "partially deaf" and I got sub-par eyesight and it sucks, but I think for what I does losing my physical voice would hurt me the least.

Geeo was right when he said most people here already agree. I would rather be mute than deaf or blind. The ability to hear the world around me is invaluable in my opinion. I would be scared to be blind --at least for the first couple weeks. Not being able to see where I am going, let alone enjoy the beauty of the world, would be depressing --although this is coming from someone does not understand enough of what blind people go through. Being mute would be fairly easy to overcome. I wouldn't mind learning American Sign Language at all --even if I never become mute.

hehehe I think it would actually be a good thing if everyone in this world was mute. I bet if no one had the ability to speak, fewer arguments would become mere shouting matches --metaphorically speaking of course. ... No pun intended with that last sentence.

I didn't choose blind because I couldn't play video games, and a lot of other things I love doing/want to do someday require sight. Between mute and deaf, I chose mute mainly because often, deafness results in not talking (unless you parents practice the form of sign language that emphasizes mouthing the words so you can learn to speak). So mutism is like growing up deaf in a family that doesn't push to learn how to speak, only without the lack of hearing.
