I know there is no way to connect to games (i.e. trade pokemon in LeafGreen with FireRed) or play with someone over the internet (other than chat) yet.
My question is: Say I have a USB controller (and my keyboard of course) can I play a game with my brother on the RGR? I have seen ways to configure for N64 port 1,2,3 and 4 and I've seen that on other consoles too so I assume I can, but I just want to make sure.

I think the best way is to try it and see
I havnt tried myself, but I think if there is the option to set up keys for player 2 then it should work fine.

You can do it I have played on the N64 with my brother a few times. The game may become a little buggy but it still works.
