I have been getting this error sometimes when I play Pokemon Fire Red on VBA on PC.
It says the circuit board has not been installed. What does that mean? How do I get rid of it? I've read that you make some kind of file and put in the vba.exe file but I don't know where that is...can somebody help me?

i had a problem as well, with pokemon crystal, it say's only for GBcolor... then there was the who'll i need to instal java thing it wouldnt let me play till i did that took idk how long. there are little things like that i guess. no worry though every problem has a solution i guess just give it time..

If your getting this when you try to save then it's a normal thing for emulators. All you would have to do is save with the f2 function if you're playing with the rgr plugin, if you're playing with the java emulator then i'm not sure how you save with that but I'll find out for you if you are.

What I did is got the original VBA zip file and added the fix myself so that others that want it can use it too
So all you need to do is download this and all Pokemon games will play properly from the second you load them.
Just remember that you have to trash any existing save files or save states you have because those files are corrupted and wont recognise this fixed version of VBA.

Yeah. Like what's been suggested, I'd try the F2 function. It's been a lifesaver for me. When you want to load the game, press F4. It's all shown on the bottom of the game screen. Hope this helps.
