I have been trying for months now to play Mario RPG Legend of the 7 Stars and once the emulator opens, it says: downloading ROM, Emulator closed. I see recent comments of people playing the game so it works for some.

I am using windows 7, and the latest version of Firefox. Is there something that I can do or is the game just fried?
