They've replaced the rings with tasty Onion rings! You need rings to survive but eat too many and you have a heart attack and die. It would have been enough to just edit jumping and running abilities but its so funny to watch him get tired from walking short distances!

PS you need a emulator for the Genisis to play this! Find 1 that works for you!
