Hey guys, I'm having a little bit of trouble.

For some reason or another, I can save my game with some games on Dosbox, while others I can't.

The prime example of this is King's Quest 5. It runs great on the dosbos, but it won't let me save. It says the following.

"This directory/disk can hold no more saved games. You must replace one of your saved games use Change Directory to save on a different directory/disk."

Is this an emulator problem or something? Cause I should also probably note, the game I'm trying to run is the CD version, so I hope you guys can help me out, as I've tried to create a folder and change the directory to that, but to no avail, as it says it isn't a valid one.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is it not possible to run the CD version on Dosbox and save it without the real CD?

Actually I wound up figuring out what the problem was. Rather simple, but found out my trial and error. When wanting to save, I had to click on the chage directory thing, and leave the space BLANK, no name, no directing to another folder, just blank, then I was able to save. It's nutty, but I totally found out at random. I figured I'd try leaving it blank for the heck of it I was so ma, and was shocked it actually worked.

Thanks for offoring the advice though, might be helpful for those should my method not work for them.

Try changing the directory to drive C: (or the dir ((directory)) letter to your hard drive)
If all else fails, there is a problem with the emulator. If you have the disk itself, try running it in command prompt (or an MS-DOS shell), if my computer was working, I'd download the game somewhere and try it.
